Apparently there is much challenging of ballots going on in the Minnesota Senate Race between incumbent Norm Coleman and Hollywood comedian Al Franken. If you go here, you can see a ballot that Al challenged. Maybe he was just kidding around?…..
I heard on the news this week that Minnesota’s elections are of a high standard, that the election officials can be trusted to do the right thing. I thank God every time I hear of public officials who decide to do the right thing, to follow the rules (i.e. the law) rather than listen to lamebrain, excuse-filled, relative, smoke-filled arguments designed to circumvent the process. You go, Minnesota!
I also thank God for our police force and other officials who uphold the rule of law. Every time one of them follows the rules (i.e. the law), that is good for all of us. Every time they do not, that is bad for all of us. Can you imagine what this world would look like if no one cared about right and wrong and the rule of law? I wouldn’t want to live here and neither would most of you. I am grateful there are people out there who still even care that right is right and wrong is wrong.
With that I say a great big Thanksgiving THANK YOU to our policemen, our public officials who uphold the laws, and while I’m at it, OUR SOLDIERS who willingly lay down their lives to fight for us, and THEIR FAMILIES who help them do it and make great sacrifices in doing so. GOD BLESS YOU ALL! We are grateful for all you do.
