Maxine Exposed

This is old news, but well worth watching again.  Watch as Progressive Caucus member Maxine Waters makes  a big whopper slip of the tongue….poor lady, she can’t even think of another word for socialism, but is left floundering until the alternative language comes out of her mouth.  Unfortunately…take over of an oil company means the same thing! I’m reminded of a scripture that says…”Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”  Sometimes you just can’t hide it no more! See those around her getting a kick out of it too. Feel free to pass this one around “liberally”.

Nancy Pelosi’s Latest Health Care Chicanery

It seems House Speaker (and oh may she lose her job very soon) Pelosi just can’t take “no” for an answer.  She has more tricks up her sleeve to get the very bad Senate version of health insurance reform passed into law.  The recent overture by the White House to invite Republican input may just prove to be a diversion from what is really going on.  Remember, I’ve said it before…when there’s a bunch of things going on that the press is reporting on, always watch what the left hand is doing behind the scenes.  This administration keeps proving time and time again that they will use trickery to get their agenda passed. Our only problem is being sure to find out what is going on behind the scenes, but this time, its seems Pelosi’s top health care aid Wendell Primus is already talking…read the report at the link below. The contortions they want to do for this one are staggering.

Pelosi Aide: Health Care Summit a Trick, Strategy on Pro-Abortion Bill Decided

Step By Step…

It’s the weekend.  I don’t normally post music videos here, but my husband and I were watching this and I was impressed with how real Rich Mullins is in this video.  Rich was a Christian music songwriter who wrote awesome songs, such as Awesome God and others.  He was taken away from us far too early when he died in a car accident in 1997 at the age of 41. Be blessed by his sharing.

More From Jefferson

“The constitutions of most of our states (and of the United States) assert that all power is inherent in the people; that they may exercise it by themselves; that it is their right and duty to be at all times armed; that they are entitled to freedom of person, freedom of religion, freedom of property and freedom of the press.” –Thomas Jefferson

I like it…sounds like a place I’d like to live.

The Congressional Progressive Caucus

Who are progressives? Well, they’re not your average Democrats. And if Democrats think they are, they need to look at what has been happening the past year since Barack Obama was sworn into office. I may delve into progressivism in a later post , but you can always google it and find lots of info on the web. For today, my purpose is to provide readers with a list of all of the congresspeople in the House (and one member from the Senate) who are avowed members of the progressive caucus which was formed in 1991. From this site you can find out pretty much everything you need to know. Below is a list of the caucus members and their districts.

There’s Keith Ellison, who traveled to Mecca for the Muslim hajj a year or so ago…I seem to remember some hoopla about whether he spent taxpayer $$ to do so. He is also connected with the Muslim American Society of Minnesota.  Alan Grayson is a  name that has been lately much in the news.  In all the clips I’ve seen of him, he seems to be a bit rude and rather outspoken.  Sheila Jackson Lee…oh yes, she is the lady who answered her phone at a townhall meeting while a constituent was trying to ask her some questions.  That was definitely rude.  Maxine Waters is on the list…she’s the lady who loves Fidel Castro and thinks he has some great ideas on how to run a country.

Obama Retirement Proposals Tell a Sad Story

From Philip Moeller at U.S. News:

“Arguing against new government inducements to improve retirement plans is an uncomfortable place to be. Who could possibly be opposed to the goal of a comfortable retirement? Who doesn’t want to help older Americans achieve that goal? Who doesn’t agree that something is terribly wrong when middle-class salaries actually are lower, after inflation adjustments, than they were a decade ago? Surely, we must do something about this.”…

Read the rest of the column here.

So after reading this….if you thought the health care bill was about insuring 30 plus million uninsured…if you thought massive government spending was about creating new jobs…(well, it will create new very expensive government jobs but is that what we want?)…if you thought hope and change was a good selling point in the last election…what do you think now? It looks like the president makes great sounding promises, then turns around and does the exact opposite.  Why would he do that?  Why would he want to destroy the economic wealth of the American people? (Think Cloward and Piven.)
