I have questions. I actually think everyone should have questions. Questions about all of the opposing information we have been given about this pandemic. But I work for the news media. We’ are supposed to ask questions. All truly thinking people should not be satisfied with just being told things willy-nilly. Especially when the information has been and continues to be so conflicting. After all these months now, our government wants to mandate masking….that’s just one of the weird things, especially when in the beginning, we were told, “it’s just for two weeks so we can flatten the curve.” And now we have flattened the economy and people’s lives…but heh… Continue reading
A prior post looked at the state’s thinking and planning concerning the gaming industry. Or maybe it’s the gaming industry’s plan, I don’t know. Maybe they put their heads together to decide the rules. Oh yeh, I think that’s called lobbying. Continue reading
Harry Reid, Democrat Senator from Nevada, if anyone doesn’t know that, has pulled the hugely bloated omnibus spending bill from the Senate floor tonight.
All one can say about that is “Praise the Lord”.
The insanity of a last minute Christmas Eve (remember last year’s holiday gift? ObamaCare), push to spend 1.3 trillion more is too unbelievable to believe, but there you have it. Desperation does strange things to people. I hear de-nial is NOT a river in Egypt. Think about it.
As the nation prepares to celebrate Independence Day with parades and barbecues, America’s veterans face a new tax on prosthetic limbs and other vital medical devices.
The health care overhaul passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama earlier this year contains a new tax on medical devices such as prosthetic limbs, pacemakers, and wheelchairs. This tax, which its proponents claim will raise $20 billion over the next ten years, contains no exemption for the nation’s 22 million veterans. In fact, Senate Democrats specifically refused to exempt veterans from the tax.
On March 24 2010, Senate Democrats rejected an amendment offered by Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) to the healthcare bill. This amendment (SA 3644) would have prevented the medical device tax from hitting veterans covered by the Veterans Healthcare Program or TRICARE for Life. This amendment was rejected by a vote of 44-54. All but five Democrat senators voted in favor of retaining the tax for veterans.

And all caught on a hidden camera. James O’Keefe is at it again and good for him. Now we can all get a bird’s eye view of your tax dollars at work. And this is just one snapshot.
This is old news, but well worth watching again. Watch as Progressive Caucus member Maxine Waters makes a big whopper slip of the tongue….poor lady, she can’t even think of another word for socialism, but is left floundering until the alternative language comes out of her mouth. Unfortunately…take over of an oil company means the same thing! I’m reminded of a scripture that says…”Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.” Sometimes you just can’t hide it no more! See those around her getting a kick out of it too. Feel free to pass this one around “liberally”.
It seems House Speaker (and oh may she lose her job very soon) Pelosi just can’t take “no” for an answer. She has more tricks up her sleeve to get the very bad Senate version of health insurance reform passed into law. The recent overture by the White House to invite Republican input may just prove to be a diversion from what is really going on. Remember, I’ve said it before…when there’s a bunch of things going on that the press is reporting on, always watch what the left hand is doing behind the scenes. This administration keeps proving time and time again that they will use trickery to get their agenda passed. Our only problem is being sure to find out what is going on behind the scenes, but this time, its seems Pelosi’s top health care aid Wendell Primus is already talking…read the report at the link below. The contortions they want to do for this one are staggering.
