The Confederate Flag means…What????

Anyone else getting a sensation of mob rule going on in America? The problem is, I can’t see the people in the mob; I can only see the dominoes falling down like a big gust of wind is doing it. And they seem to be falling VERY fast. If this keeps up, the French guillotines can’t be far behind. What am I talking about?

Ever since the shooting in Charleston, S.C., which was responded to WITHOUT riots, looting and the burning of private businesses which would put people out of jobs, I have been watching events unfold like dominoes falling. The response to the shooting was very prayerful, and civil. No unrest, no big kerfuffle. Forgiveness was extended to the perpetrator in the courtroom. Methinks there are those who just could not handle that. Where is the scapegoat? We always have a scapegoat?

Used to be, in the very recent past, when the mob (the pc police) demanded something, businesses and people would push back, go to court, etc. Last week, TVLand folded without a whimper, as well as all retailers (that I can find) of the Confederate flag. Were they even ASKED to remove the old, fun, hit TV show, The Dukes of Hazard? Did anyone request it? I never heard one word of any pressure put on them. What is this mighty gale blowing across our land? One governor of one state decided to not fly the Confederate flag due to what she perceived as its message. And she is Republican.

Was that it? I secretly suspect it may be. A Republican made this request. The Progressives can’t have a Republican making this request and being the lead story….the story must be…I’ve got it! Political Correctness! All of a sudden, stores are removing the Confederate flag, TV Land is removing the Dukes of Hazard. I ask, did anyone demand it of them? Nikki Haley, the governor of South Carolina, didn’t demand it. I just heard a commentator on tv say what might be the answer….They want to be on the right side of the issue. Was it an issue? Not before the shooting, not so much. It was like, we had to blame something or someone, so we blamed a flag, an inanimate object. Or is it more than that? It sure feels like it is more than that. Was it because the usual response didn’t happen to this shooting? Ah…that may be where the answer lies. We are so used to a nationwide boogeyman as a response to shooting events. Leftie Progressive types usually start wanting guns banned.

Yes, I agree, there are nut cases with nutty ideas, who fly the Confederate flag. That’s one person’s explanation of why it simply “must” be removed. But there are nutty people who eat Twinkies, and we don’t ban Twinkies. (A Twinkie made me do it…couldn’t resist!) There are others who are interested in the historical value of it. Then there are more who see it as a free speech issue as I do. I am not from the South and never in my life did I want to own my very own Confederate flag…until now. It’s the principle of the thing!

I’ve been talking to people at Walmart today. This is after I came across a shop freely selling the Confederate flag, and I bought as many as I wanted AND posted it on Facebook so my friends can go get theirs. Oh, did I say that? What I want to say to Walmart is this: When the government bans everything on your shelves, what will you do then? One lady at the deli counter said it best, in response to the question I just posed, but it’s not Politically Correct to repeat it. Oh,well, perhaps I can plead ignorance…she said, “By that time, we’ll all be in our homes wearing head scarves.” You sure have to admire her spunk! She is paying attention. She told me she has a vinyl cutter at home and she cut out a little Confederate flag and stuck it to her plastic drink cup. I say, you go, girl.

What I want to say to TVLand is this: When the government bans every program you carry, what will you do then?

I wonder how long Facebook will leave my photo of that flag up?

And poor Donald Trump….he dared to speak some things and look how they are going after him. This is a classic Saul Alinsky tactic…”RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)”–taken from Rules for Radicals by Saul Alinsky, community organizer. Watching businesses fold right and left that do business with Trump, I predict the end goal is to completely drain him of all his fortune, and thereby minimize him to nothing.

Can Communism Deliver On Its Promises?

The new year is here…time to get blogging again.  I have been sick all through the holidays and am just now starting to feel human again. I was reading last night and felt the following is something to be pointed out.

Jeffrey Folks over at American Thinker paints a bleak picture of everyday life under communism in his article called Christmas Under Communism.  He lived under it.  I highly encourage you to read and ponder the whole column. I believe our government is showing us many signs that this is the  path they want to set us  on. Oh, maybe not on purpose (really?)…but the actions and attitude of Barack Obama’s administration are pointing this way.  The following paragraph is only a brief excerpt. This is what a life of rationing basic necessities would look like. And don’t forget that communism has murdered millions of people. This is what the nanny state does to its citizens.

“Christmas was also accompanied by the unrelieved cold. The Communist state had guaranteed heating and electricity for all, just as it had guaranteed universal free medical care, but blackouts were frequent and long, and water shortages predictable: two days off, one day on. Every night, the heat was turned off at nine o’clock. I slept in a cold room under a mountain of blankets, sometimes lying awake as my breath rose like smoke in the moonlight. Then I got very sick, but I refused to be taken to the hospital for fear of being made sicker.”

War On America…Who are Cloward and Piven?

The Cloward-Piven strategy.

from Jeannie DeAngelis at the American Thinker…Full post here.

“The president’s ability to exploit crises is reminiscent of the controversial teachings of Columbia University political scientists, Frances Fox Cloward and Richard Andrew Piven. Inspired by the Obama mentor — radical community organizer Saul Alinsky — these two sixties social revolutionaries taught that upheaval is something that should “never be wasted” and that political change can be fostered through “…orchestrated crisis.” Two skills Barack Obama proficiently exercises every chance he gets.

Cloward-Piven instructed activists that if a crisis did not exist, promote or manufacture one by exaggerating a benign or unthreatening predicament. In doing so, contrived commotion would serve as a tool to convince the masses of their urgent need for rescue. In order to achieve the ultimate goal, students were encouraged to stress the social system to the breaking point, which would quash capitalism and institute socialism through a massive infusion of government intervention.

Cloward-Piven repeatedly cited Alinsky’s, Rules for Radicals, in all their work. Marxism advocates were taught by Cloward-Piven to, “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.” Never failing to remind their apprentices that, “…when pressed…human agencies inevitably fall short…the systems failure to “live up” to its rule book can then is used to discredit it altogether.” The definitive goal: “… replace the capitalist “rule book” with a socialist one.”

From Jim Simpson at InvesigatingObama.com…
“Barack Obama, the Cloward-Piven candidate, no matter how he describes himself, has been a radical activist for most of his political career. That activism has been in support of organizations and initiatives that at their heart seek to tear the pillars of this nation asunder in order to replace them with their demented socialist vision. Their influence has spread so far and so wide that despite their blatant culpability in the current financial crisis, they are able to manipulate Capital Hill politicians to cut them into $140 billion of the bailout pie!”
There is no mistake…radical leftists have declared war on America.  It is becoming increasingly apparent to me that the radicals from the 60’s, who at the time were out in the open, have simply gone underground.  For the past 40+ years to now, they have conspired and grown a massive movement using the freedoms of our country to mount an aggressive attack against the foundations, principles and free markets of the U.S. Barack Obama has been extensively immersed in this movement.  All one has to do is connect the dots…the people, the  organizations, and their purposes.
If you care about our country and you haven’t read this post before, run, don’t walk right over to this site at InvestigatingObama.com. Article here. This is the most complete and precise expose I have read of the man currently occupying the White House. This article is thorough and with references.  Plan to spend a lot of time there and read all of the links and references.

What “Fairness” Might Look Like…

Dr. Zhivago is on tv again. This is a new version with different actors. It’s not the old Omar Shariff/Julie Christie version. The Ovation channel has been running it for two weeks, at least. This one stars…Keira somebody…well, I should just pay more attention.  I got to watch a bit more of it last night, paying special attention to what the socialist/communist mindset thinks “fair” is.

Dr. Zhivago’s wife’s family, I believe, owned a large home in Moscow. After the Communists took over, 6 other families moved in. But the doc’s wife was pretty excited that, at least, their family of 4 had two small rooms to themselves, it was cozy, and they had a stove. The doc “pilfered” some wood for the fire from something he saw lying around outside in the snow, then was eyed suspiciously by one of the other women when he came home…it seems “pilfering” was not allowed and everyone watched everyone else and would report on each other because everyone was so needy of the everyday necessities of life. It looked like there was quite a bit of stealing going on, as well as communists randomly shooting at people on the streets at night. I noticed when doc’s family moved to the country, that some people had a cow. I think I would be afraid to own anything in that brave new world, because you would be robbed and probably killed for it. People were hungry and cold. One guy was so desperate, he shot his own family and said, At least they were safe now, then killed himself. To Communists in the movie, killing someone was no big deal, because there was a higher cause. This sounds like the thinking of Hitler and his Gestapo.

When Dr. Zhivago worked in the local hospital in Moscow, he had a falling out with the “Director”. It seems the doc, because he really wanted to help people, diagnosed a typhoid outbreak, for which he was resoundly reprimanded by a council, for “spreading hysteria”. They shipped him out of town.

I spent some time yesterday reading an extremely long essay on Discover The Networks.org. It was under the New Today section (don’t know how long they leave that up) and the name of the essay was Defining and Understanding the Terms “Liberal”, “Left” and “Progressive”. According to the article, the Left spends all of its time in denial about reality. Boy, did the above scene fit that definition. God help our country to never go this route.  And that’s a prayer.
