HR 3200

I am going to spend my next few posts reprinting some information from someone who has actually read the Health Care Bill.  I am giving anyone who wants to permission to reprint this all over the web and as far and wide as you can get it.  This bill is evil and as you read the information, you will see why I say that.  There is too much information to post in one post, so I will be spreading it out over several.  We must contend with and defeat this travesty that the Obama administration and his congress are trying to put over on the American people.

The following is a brief outline of this bill put together by Mat Staver of the Freedom Foundation and Liberty Counsel (contact info is at the end). The comments by the brief are Mat’s, except where I have noted my own by putting them in italics. The bold is also mine.–Rick Joyner

After reading, please do not wait to contact your representatives to protest this. If you don’t get through, keep calling, send emails, but do not stop until you know your voice has been heard.

  1. Hi Pup, “we are fighting”!…and maybe even winning. I think if the senior citizens have anything to say about this, it’s dead in the water, although I don’t want to say we won yet because there may be trickery…I don’t put anything past Nancy Pelosi.

  2. …And after reading what is in this bill, I no longer have ANY trust for anyone in congress who is in favor of this bill. End of discussion.

  3. I know what you mean about having NO trust for anyone who votes for this. I have to say, we’ve had presidents before that I didn’t care for, but this is the most untrusting, disbelieving, and suspicious I’ve ever been of any administration. I quite literally don’t believe ANYTHING that Obama says.

    The same goes for Pelosi.

  4. Does the fact that Dean Staver has had AIG Insurance, The Florida Medical Association, The Florida Nursing Association, and Florida Hospital as clients bother anyone?

Has Barack Obama lied to anyone here personally? I haven’t seen that. That rhetoric comes from the hate mongers who lost in November. Pelosi’s a freak and that’s a given but I think we need to ask who the Dean plays golf with.

Any limits on healthcare, either for pre-existings or for extentended care must be guaranteed. Everyone should pay something for their own care but for it’s citizens we ought to provide the needed care.

The problem is where does that end? Citizenship perhaps? If we stay with the current system, we are saying it’s morally ok if an insurance company won’t accept someone with a pre-existing condition. And if I can’t get it from them then I have to go to the State Pooling Board Insurance system. A government program costing nearly as much as COBRA. The reality here is that there’s a false reality and we need to lift the smokescreen. If there are truly clauses as written here then clearly changes must be made but this is more about pushing the elephant forward instead of letting status quo stand. Just saying.

  5. Um…the outline looks very similar to the work of Peter Fleckstein (Fleckman) who tweeted HR3200 on Twitter. The (main) give away the two Twitter hash tags – #AARP #AMA
He does not mind if his work is republished as long as credit is given. Unfortunately many have republished his work without crediting him.

He has posted all of his health care bill tweets here:

  6. Hi Patrick and Velvethammer, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Patrick, It seems you are more in the know about who Mathew Staver represented than I…
I did some more checking…my source (Rick Joyner) of this information referenced Mathew Staver as his source, but upon checking his link, I find that he references Peter Fleckstein as Velvethammer has indicated and at the link she gives in her comment.
However, at Liberty Counsel’s page, they state that it has been “reviewed, revised and adapted” from Fleckstein’s review of the bill, so there may be some differences.

Patrick, I don’t know how we avoid getting information from sources who haven’t taken a side in this matter. I suppose the only way is that we must all read the bill for ourselves.
Personally I do believe that Barack Obama has lied to the American people in several ways. That may be for another discussion.
The pre-existing conditions problem bothers me too, which is probably how insurance companies can make lots of money. But then I think about how many of our health care problems can be self-inflicted by bad decisions and I can see why companies don’t want to cover those. My solution would be to charge higher rates for people who drink heavily or smoke or are grossly obese…gosh, do they already do that?
I appreciate very much your comments and the discussion!

  7. Kathy

Yes now you see what I meant. lol The one you originally credited left the Twitter has tags in. (Oops) He changed the text from Fleckmans Twitter text speak to a more readable version but I still realized it was Fleckmans work immediately. I have posted his entire piece on my blog with credit. So I am very familiar with his wording. 😉

  8. Thank you godukebasketball for your comment. Since I cannot verify exactly who you are from your blog, I will just say thanks for adding to the discussion.
To everyone else, a Google search of Laura Sample shows that one is an M.D. and one is a Marketing Director, so it’s up to you to decide what to believe after reading her blog post on HR 3200.
Like I said before, I don’t know how we make a decision on this when reading info from those on either side unless we look at it ourselves.

  9. Just a followup thought to some of the things mentioned here. In a free market society, everyone is free to make as much money as they want or can. However, unfair practices ought not be encouraged for anyone. Therefore, I maintain, that in order to be “fair” in a free market economy, it is not government’s role to look at how much a business is making to determine that change is needed (which is what I believe the current administration does to some extent), but to look at the business practices of that business. I don’t think fairness is that hard to determine. But then…I believe right is right…and wrong is wrong…call me crazy.
It is said that the free market is able to be corrected, either by loss of business if crooked and gain of business if excellence is practiced. I think this is correct and government should only be a referee in the game and not a player, because they can only be an unfair player. They have the ability to print money when they run out (overspend) and they get all their income from taxpayers and not from the free market. Graft and corruption seem to be less easily corrected also, because they are not dependent on the profit motive that private business is. That is why I am wholeheartedly against them becoming a player in any part of the economy.
Great discussion…I am enjoying it immensely!

  10. Kathy – Thank you I appreciate you doing your due diligence to understand if I may be biased in this discussion. I will say that I am neither of those individuals. I am a student in a graduate program for public health and focusing on really understanding the health reform debate and politics.

  11. Thank you! I certainly is an interesting time to study health care! Good luck to you as well and keep watching the nation — it’s very helpful to have people looking at what is going on and discussing all sides of it.

  12. I really appreciate your quote from: Norman Thomas
“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.”–Norman Thomas, presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America, 1928-1948

To learn more on how this “gradualism” has succeeded, and according to a master plan take a look at some of the documents I’ve collected here:

  13. Hi Steve, Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment. There are some who take issue with that quote, saying it is an internet hoax. I would need access to all books by him in order to completely verify it…but as one looks at what has happened to our country and the Democrat party…it has been gradually happening, as indicated. Thanks for the link, I will be checking it out.

  14. H.R. 676 (The United States National Health Care Act), is a much better bill than H.R. 3200, and provides true Universal Health Coverage for all Americans. It will up for debate and vote in the House in September.

  15. The general public who are oblivious to HR 3200 need to know what it entails. The actuality of it needs to get out so it can be heard. People need to be informed, and they need to know what is actually going on with this bill. Go to http://www.buythebill.com to get a free PDF download of the bill, or you can purchase a printed and binded hard copy of the bill.
